WHAT IS CICOPA AMERICAS?
It is the Regional Sectoral Organization of the Cooperatives of Industrial, Artisanal Production and Cooperative Services of the Americas. It is a consultative organism of the Regional Administration Council of Cooperatives of the Americas.
CICOPA-Americas functions as an institutional, economic, social, cultural, pedagogical and scientific representation of cooperatives in the production or associated work cooperative sector.

Objectives
Provide permanent support to the sector of associated work cooperatives in the region; gathers, represents, develops and defends its members in matters of a sectoral nature.
Serve as a consultation body for the Cooperative Bodies of the Americas, in those matters and problems that concern the associated work cooperatives of the region.
Being a support for the Regional Board of Directors of Cooperatives of the Americas in the defense and articulation with government and international entities that issue accounting, financial, supervision, regulation and legislation standards that affect worker cooperatives.
To be a space for discussion, analysis, and exchange among worker cooperatives in the Americas, to increase the competitiveness of their organizations.
Serve as a link and facilitate useful communication for all its members, allowing the constant flow of information.
Promote business and commercial development of the activity of worker cooperatives in the Americas.
Support the development of initiatives that promote the creation of associated work cooperatives in the countries of the region.
Facilitate an effective link between worker cooperatives in the Americas.
Carry out actions and research work on all economic, financial, social and legal matters related to the operation and development of worker cooperatives.
Represent its members, by delegation of the Regional Board of Cooperatives of the Americas, before regional integration institutions and other international institutions, as well as before authorities and institutions that have some relationship with the interests of its members.
Maintain close coordination with CICOPA and with the Cooperatives of the Americas.

Internalization of the MERCOSUR cooperative statute.
Encouragement of the development of inter-cooperative linkages in the region
