Cooperatives of the Americas launches a platform to make visible the impact on the 2030 Agenda

The cooperative sector plays a crucial role in the advancement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), this has been demonstrated by various sectors, even the United Nations has taken the Resolution to Declare 2025 the International Year of Cooperatives.

CoopImpacto is a development of Cooperatives of the Americas, the result of several years of collaborative work with cooperatives, mutuals, employee funds and associations. It is part of the Coops4dev Project, co-financed by the European Union.

How Does It Work?

In this first phase of our action, certification will be given free of charge to all members of Cooperatives of the Americas.

In this way, it will be possible to verify even the actions developed by the cooperatives prior to the conception of the SDGs, such as reforestation campaigns, river cleaning, investment in early childhood education, musical education and community development, among others.

Making visible the transformative contribution of cooperatives

CoopImpacto seeks to give visibility to the cooperative sector's efforts for sustainability and the SDGs, which often remain in the internal memories of the entities: in this way we believe that the systematization and management of knowledge of these initiatives contributes to strengthening their reach, increasing their impacts and facilitating their possible replications in different contexts.

We invite all cooperative organizations interested in highlighting their contributions to the SDGs to generate their users and start reporting their actions. CoopImpacto represents another step in the collective commitment of cooperatives to sustainable development and social transformation.

The development and design of this platform was funded by the Coops4dev Project, co-financed by the European Union and the International Cooperative Alliance, implemented by Cooperatives of the Americas.
