Cohesion and social inclusion: Contribution of cooperatives towards a world in balance
Talking about cohesion in society is talking about conditions and policies of
organization and government to promote unity within plurality, equity
within the universal biotic and cultural difference and social participation,
economic and political effectiveness of each and one of the human beings that make up
a community, in our case, the cooperatives and of course their environment.
Social Cohesion must face old problems such as: poverty,
inequality, violence and juvenile delinquency. Social Integration must be
based on equity, inclusion and well-being, guided by policies that
involve the visibility of social capital.
Social Inclusion should tend to improve the distribution mechanisms of the
wealth and promote social integration and equity, which emphasizes a set of
ethical and practical values of solidarity.
