The global headquarters of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), through its Private Sector Partnerships Unit, organizes monthly "Private Sector Brown Bag Lunches," hybrid exchanges that deepen collaborations with strategic allies in the private sector while promoting dialogue on key issues on the international agenda.
This April's meeting will focus on the cooperative movement, dedicating its space to the theme "Cooperatives: Partnerships to Transform Agri-Food Systems." It will take place on Tuesday, April 15, at 13:00 PM Rome time (05:00 AM CET / 08:00 AM ARG).
This session will be led by the FAO Regional Office for Latin America and the Caribbean, which collaborates strongly and respectfully with the region's cooperative structures. The meeting will address the contributions of the cooperative movement within the framework of the International Year of Cooperatives 2025, as well as the scope of the recent renewal of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between FAO and the International Cooperative Alliance (ICA).
This will be the second meeting in this year's series, which began in February with Google's participation. Sessions are open to both FAO staff and external participants.
